2023 20th Annual IEEE International Conference on Sensing, Communication, and Networking
11–14 September 2023 // Madrid, Spain

Call for Posters

IEEE SECON 2023 will include a poster session to provide a unique forum to exchange innovative research ideas, recent results, and share experiences among researchers and practitioners in wireless networks, mobile systems and the Internet of Things. The focus of IEEE SECON in 2023 is on the intersection between traditional sensing/networking and new disciplinary areas, including (but not limited to) machine intelligence, data analytics, edge computing, social networks, rural connectivity, and electromagnetic fields. Moreover, submissions on related topics are encouraged, such as biological communication, computing networks to uncharted wireless bands, edge intelligence, social media data exploitation, mobile data analysis, and beyond 5G/6G networking/communications aspects. One of the key goals of IEEE SECON is to foster collaboration between industry and academia. Hence, participation of researchers/developers from industry and posters reporting joint work between industry and academia are especially encouraged.

Posters are solicited for any of the research topics relevant to IEEE SECON and can be any (but not limited to) of the following:

  • Upcoming research challenges, future directions and works in progress;
  • Demonstrations of new applications and techniques;
  • Practical implementations, research testbeds and living labs;
  • Industrial and commercial developments;
  • Recent research/implementation results and prototypes;
  • Novel hardware and tools;
  • Real-world deployments and platforms for research;
  • Public-private and industrial-academic collaboration initiatives.

Submissions should follow the IEEE conference 2-column template and have a minimum font size of 10 points. The documents must contain the authors’ names, affiliations, and contact information as well as specify the designated corresponding author. Submissions will be evaluated mainly on their potential to stimulate interesting discussions, exchange of ideas, and promote collaborations.

Poster submission guidelines

Submissions should be a two-page short paper/abstract describing the main contributions and merits, reporting on initial results, and discussing challenges.

Authors of accepted posters will have a space in the poster session room to display their posters and describe their work in discussions with interested attendees. In addition, each poster presenter will have 60 seconds, at the beginning of the session, to present their idea and attract the audience to their poster.

Finally, accepted poster submissions will appear in the conference proceedings. Under the IEEE Communications Society policy, all accepted IEEE SECON 2023 posters require at least one author registration. For authors co-authoring multiple posters/full papers, each author registration is valid for TWO papers/posters/demos.

Posters can be submitted via EDAS: https://edas.info/N30522
